We are hiring a graphic designer with experience in designing commercial signs.
Role: Graphic Designer
Hours: Full-time (USA, EST hours)
Rate: R32,000 – R40,000 per month
Industry: Signage
Our client, a well-established signage and visual communications company, is seeking an experienced Sign Designer with a strong background in production-ready design. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands the full lifecycle of signage—from concept through fabrication and installation.
This is not a general graphic design position. The successful candidate will have direct experience within the sign industry and a deep understanding of how designs translate into physical products.
Responsibilities
- Create production-ready artwork for a variety of signage applications
- Design and prepare files for large-format printing workflows
- Develop vehicle wraps, monument signs, channel letters, and panel signage
- Produce technical drawings, permit drawings, and realistic mockups
- Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy
- Ensure all files meet specifications for scale, resolution, bleed, and materials
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience in a sign company or sign production environment
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Proven experience with large-format print production workflows
- Ability to create accurate, production-ready files (not just concepts)
- Working knowledge of ONYX RIP (preferred)
