We are seeking a talented and versatile Designer (Motion + Graphic) to join a dynamic creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing high-quality electronic layouts that align with technical standards and marketing objectives. You will act as a key collaborator, translating data and marketing needs into compelling visual solutions for emails, catalogues, flyers, and other promotional projects. This role requires a blend of creative vision, technical precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualization & Layout: Develop accurate electronic layouts for emails, catalogues, flyers, and booklets, ensuring all designs meet scheduled deadlines and technical standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Attend pick-up meetings to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure a full understanding of marketing intentions and needs.
- Creative Execution: Ensure electronic layouts translate effectively across photography, copy, creative guidelines, and production requirements.
- Asset Management: Search electronic resources for archived art and provide printed references and source information to Producers.
- Art Production: Produce finished art for new graphic elements, including slugs and headings in both English and French.
- Iterative Design: Provide layout tissue revisions following reviews and create high-quality presentations and mock-ups.
- Photography Coordination: Evaluate the reusability of existing photography and determine when new photography is necessary for a layout.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of professional graphic design experience.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD), Figma, Image Banks, and electronic image archives.
- Creative Skills: Strong color sense, creative thinking, and the ability to invent novel design solutions from data and project needs.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the principles of retail, email, catalogue, and promotional advertising, including strong expertise in type formatting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into creative presentations.
- Work Ethic: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a calm demeanor while working independently or within a team in a demanding environment.
- Logistics: Ability to prioritize a heavy workload, meet tight deadlines, and work a hybrid schedule
