Graphic Apparel Designer Jobs in New Albany, OH at Creative Circle
Our retail client is looking for a Sr Graphic Apparel Designer to join their team Full-Time!
This is a hybrid on-site role in Columbus, Ohio. Must be comfortable with relocation if currently outside of Columbus, OH. There is remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Our client is open to both an in-house or agency background. Ideally, you will have experience with a global retailer developing graphics for women's apparel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal graphic concepts for a range of apparel categories while managing multiple product seasons
- Take a deep dive into the global customer mindset through market, field & relevant social research
- Develop cutting edge print and technique graphics following each brand's guidelines.
- Explore and research emerging trends in the global market to deliver product that is aligned with the customer and market landscape
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with an action-oriented, positive and proactive mindset
- Present artwork and communicating vision to senior leadership as relevant to customer needs and market trends
- Manage design workflow and deadlines within a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably for a global retailer
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and experience preparing print-ready files for multiple production methods.
- A portfolio showcase strong design skills in color theory, composition, and concept development as well as excellent typography skills.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior designers.
- Ability to identify and interpret relevant fashion trends into branded content.
- Strong understanding of apparel construction, print techniques (screen print, embroidery, sublimation), and color separations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Gen Z visual culture, social media trends, and contemporary youth-oriented aesthetics.
- Excellent typographic sensibility and hand-drawn or digital illustration capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and seasonal deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in production and quality issues.
