Global Production Strategist Jobs in Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area at Tag

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Production Strategist to join our dynamic team. This role sits at the intersection of production, creative operations, and strategy — someone who can speak fluently to the day-to-day realities of clients while showing up as a true partner to account leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep fluency in AI tools and emerging technologies, using them to proactively solve agency operational challenges, unlock efficiencies, and elevate the quality of creative delivery.

About the Role

Tag is part of a dynamic interagency team with creative, media, production (Tag) and client team, rallied around flawless delivery for the client at hand. The Global Production Strategist serves as the connective tissue between production, creative operations, project management, and client services, as well as the interagency team. This person will help to define IAT x Client ways of working, and rally agency partner teams around e2e operations. This person is as comfortable in a client-facing QBR as they are in the weeds of a production workflow — translating the complexity of tech client environments into smarter, AI-augmented operating models. They are a trusted partner to account and operational leadership and a driving force behind how the agency evolves the way it works.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Communication:

  • Own the being the strategic liaison between IAT, global production teams, account leadership, and internal and external clients — ensuring alignment on project timelines, deliverables, and the operational health of the engagement.
  • Be a proactive leader that takes initiative, has strong follow-through and sense of ownership. Comfortable with ambiguity, inner agency diplomacy and a bias for action.
  • Executive-level communication delivery, with the confidence to voice ideas, drive collaborative conversation, and serve as a true thought partner to account leadership, interagency partners, and client teams alike.
  • Partner tightly with the Creative Delivery / PM Lead to ensure operational workflows are grounded in what teams actually experience in day-to-day delivery. Work in lockstep with PM lead to keep creative moving smoothly through the operational plumbing, tech & tools — using AI assistants and automation to flag risks and remove friction before they surface.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement production strategies that challenge the status quo, incorporating agentic tools, automation, and next-generation creative operating models. Champion the adoption of new technologies and platforms — including large language models, generative media tools, and intelligent automation — as core infrastructure for how the team delivers.
  • Ability to strongly and clearly articulate operational strategies. Document ideas and areas of improvement on paper in order to rally cross-functional stakeholders and clients around your thinking.
  • Continuously monitor production technology trends, translating them into concrete opportunities for clients to improve efficiency, craft, and scale — staying ahead of the curve so the team is always recommending what’s next, not what’s current.

Global Production Processes:

  • Understand how to leverage the best of both onshore and offshore production solutions, including a retained production studio team, to maximize efficiencies & quality in creative delivery — augmented by tools that reduce repetitive tasks and accelerate throughput across the pipeline.
  • Proactively identify areas for process enhancement — deploying AI-assisted diagnostics, workflow automation, and prompt engineering to recommend solutions that meaningfully increase efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
  • Collaborate with creative operations to streamline workflows and reduce bottlenecks — applying tools to automate handoffs, surface blockers in real time, and keep creative teams focused on high-value work.

Tech & Tools:

  • Deep understanding of technology and tools leveraged in the digital production process — including LLM-powered workflow tools and creative automation — with the ability to collaborate with the Dentsu tech team on implementation and adoption strategy.
  • Help to define the roadmap for adoption of Adobe GenStudio within the production process in collaboration with the Dentsu tech team.
  • Collaborate with the Global Localization team on the best methods for translations and local adaptations, leveraging modern translation tools, machine learning-assisted QA, and automation to scale adaptation workflows with speed and accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technology, Business Management, Marketing) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing digital or technology projects, with a focus on creative operations or similar environments — ideally with direct experience supporting or embedded within a tech client account.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools — including large language models, generative media platforms, and intelligent project management tools — with a demonstrated ability to apply them to real agency workflow challenges, not just theoretical use cases.
  • Proven ability to lead change management initiatives and drive innovation within an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, must enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional departments, both internal and client facing
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in integrating emerging technologies into existing agency workflows — comfortable bridging the gap between what’s technically possible and what’s operationally practical
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems

Preferred Skills

  • Adobe GenStudio and Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Experience applying LLM platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to agency workflows — prompt engineering, workflow automation, or creative operations
  • Background working with or within a technology company or tech-focused agency account
  • Familiarity with localization and translation platforms (e.g., machine translation, automated QA tools)
