Role Description
GCON is seeking a Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of a global women-focused game jam. The role requires strong ownership across planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination, team management to ensure a high-quality, seamless experience for participants across multiple locations.
The Project Manager will be responsible for fully managing event planning and operations, while maintaining alignment with GCON’s objectives and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the overall project plan, timeline, and key milestones across the full game jam lifecycle
- Oversee execution across global locations (online and on-site chapters)
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans
- develop delgation and responsibilites plan for the team you’ll manage
- Coordinate with international partners, local organizers, and sponsors
- Act as the main point of contact for all operational stakeholders
- Ensure alignment across all parties on deliverables, timelines, and expectations
- Game Jam Operations
- Oversee participant journey (registration, onboarding, team formation, submission process)
- Coordinate workshops, mentorship sessions, and judging process
- Ensure consistency in experience across all locations
- Lead planning and execution of the final ceremony in Riyadh
- Coordinate on-ground logistics including run of show, participant management, and partner requirements
- Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Ensure all outputs (communications, workshops, judging criteria, deliverables) meet GCON and parnter standards
- Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and participant experience
- Provide regular progress updates to internal leadership
- Track KPIs, participation metrics, and post-event reporting
- Document learnings and recommendations for future editions
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing game jams, gaming events, or similar global programs.
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines and community dynamics.
- Experience working with international teams and managing multi-location initiatives.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
