About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Game Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing new game concepts, themes, and overall game flow that align with our company's vision. You will oversee the execution of game designs by collaborating with artists, animators, and developers, ensuring that the final product meets high standards of quality and player engagement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the creative direction of our slot games and contribute to the development of innovative gaming experiences. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a small, collaborative environment and have a passion for creating compelling and entertaining slot games.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, game design, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in slot game design and development
- Proven expertise in mathematics related to game mechanics and player engagement
- Experience in quality assurance and game software review
- Strong project management skills and ability to oversee multiple projects from concept to completion
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA or similar software
- Ability to analyze and playtest games to ensure quality and adherence to design standards
Responsibilities
- Participate in the creation and review of original game designs, themes, and concepts for electronic gaming slot machines
- Review game software during development to verify gameplay quality and all game elements meet standards
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and files necessary for game development and regulatory submissions
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for multiple slot games, from initial concept to final release
- Report on project status, health, and milestones to stakeholders regularly
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Schedule, facilitate, and document team meetings to track project progress and resolve issues
- Prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities using project management tools like JIRA
- Continuously playtest and evaluate games during development to ensure functionality and production standards are met
- Collaborate with other designers and producers to identify issues and develop effective solutions
