Role Overview
As a Merchandiser Production, you will be responsible for ensuring that every VAIA product moves from approved sample to ready stock—on time, on quality, and on plan.
You will work closely with our design team, but your main role is to control execution, manage production timelines, and ensure no delays disrupt our launch momentum. This role is not about “following up.” This role is about owning the timeline and making production happen.
Your Responsibilities
1. Production Timeline Ownership
- Plan and control production timeline from sample approval → production → QC → ready stock
- Ensure all SKUs are delivered on time for launch
- Identify risks early and take action before delays happen
2. Material & Sampling Support
- Handle material sourcing & ordering for sampling needs
- Ensure all materials are ready on time for development process
- Monitor sampling progress from execution side (timeline & readiness)
3. Production Execution & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with vendors / workshops for production
- Monitor progress regularly (not reactively)
- Ensure production runs according to timeline, quality, and quantity
4. Costing & Feasibility Control
- Support costing calculation and ensure production feasibility
- Flag potential issues in cost, materials, or production efficiency
5. QC & Delivery Coordination
- Work closely with QC team to ensure product quality
- Ensure smooth transition from production to warehouse
- Maintain production readiness before launch
6. Production Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain accurate production tracker
- Provide clear updates on:
- Progress
- Risks
- Delays (if any)
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience in fashion production / merchandising (apparel or footwear)
- Minimal experience: 1 Year as Merchandiser, Product Development fashion brand.
- In-depth knowledge of the production process, including sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control.
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Has strong sense of urgency & ownership
- Is proactive and able to anticipate problems early
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with external and internal teams.
- Can manage multiple SKUs and timelines at once
- Is comfortable working with vendors & production teams
- Thinks in system, not chaos
