Headquartered in Hong Kong with offices in the UK, the studio brings together architects, designers, community outreach professionals and event managers to bridge the gaps between space, place and society. With a strong focus on placemaking, co-creation and research-driven innovation, onebite leads the local co-creation scene and actively engages diverse stakeholders.
The studio operates through three teams – onebite DESIGN, onebite RESEARCH and onebite SOCIAL – that collaborate to deliver user-centric, urban and cultural projects with human sensitivity. It is the first architectural practice in Hong Kong to be certified as a B Corp.
Role Opening: Exhibition Designer

As an Exhibition Designer at onebite DESIGN, you will blend the boundaries of physical space and digital interaction, turning research, art, and community insights into engaging multimedia exhibitions. You will be a core part of a team that values curiosity, empathy, and experimental design.
Key Responsibilities
- Spatial & Digital Design: Conceptualise, develop, and execute exhibition layouts and spatial designs across both physical venues and digital/virtual platforms.
- Content Curation & Narrative: Collaborate closely with curators, researchers, and community stakeholders to translate complex content and data into compelling, easy-to-understand visual and spatial stories.
- Interactive & Multimedia Integration: Propose and design interactive elements, multimedia installations, and experiential touchpoints that enhance visitor engagement.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our architecture, graphic design, and community engagement teams to ensure a cohesive look, feel, and message across all project phases.
- Project Delivery: Assist in managing exhibitions from concept to completion, including technical drawing preparation, material sourcing, vendor coordination, and on-site set-up supervision.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in exhibition design, spatial design, or a closely related field, with a proven track record in both physical and digital exhibition formats.
- Story-Driven Mindset: A deep curiosity for narrative, content curation, and research. You don't just put things on walls – you build worlds out of ideas.
- Tech & Tool Savvy: Proficiency in spatial and 3D modelling tools (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD) alongside the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Familiarity with UI/UX, digital prototyping, or multimedia integration tools is a major plus.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills. You thrive in a dynamic, open-minded studio environment and are open to co-creating with teammates and communities.
- Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
