Volunteer Opportunity Details
Description of Duties:
As an Exhibition Host, you’ll be the welcoming face of the Home & Fine Arts Talent Exhibition. From guiding exhibitors and collecting entries to assisting with setup and visitor engagement, you’ll play a key role in creating an organized, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all exhibitors, demonstrators, & fair visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Exhibitor Support
- Greet exhibitors dropping off their submissions (e.g., home goods, art, crafts).
- Collect entry forms and fees, or guide them to their category area.
- Assist with table setup and placement of entries while maintaining a respectful and supportive environment.
Event Navigation
- Help direct guests to different parts of the exhibition.
- Answer general visitor questions with kindness and clarity.
- Support live demonstrators and dog breed demonstrators with basic setup tasks.
Judging & Logistics
- Provide support during the judging process, including organizing materials and keeping areas clear.
- Assist with exhibition setup and takedown at the start and close of the fair.
Skills Required
- Friendly, respectful, and welcoming attitude toward all exhibitors and guests
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Interest in arts, crafts, or community-driven events a plus
- Comfortable with light lifting and movement around the fairgrounds
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
Skills Gained/Related Careers
- Appreciation for skills in the areas of photography, arts, culinary, textiles, plants & flowers and land products.

Opportunity is available to candidates that:
– Fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit – Are able to attend with a support person – Uses a mobility device
