Job Summary
The Events Support Staff team provides all the set‑up, tear‑down, and on‑site support for events held at the museum. The team handles an average of 3 events each week, including dinners, weddings, parties, retreats, board meetings, festivals, and corporate galas. Events range from 10 to 1,400 guests. Staff members play a critical role in ensuring a memorable, inclusive experience for guests, partners, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Complete set‑up and take‑down of event spaces.
- Monitor key locations during the event to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist event staff, caterers, and vendors with exceptional customer service.
- Move furniture and equipment, lifting objects that may weigh over 25 pounds.
- Attend Events Support staff meetings and receive ongoing training on museum policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support event success.
Minimum Qualifications & Preferences
- Weekend and evening availability are required.
- Preferred:
Prior event industry and customer service experience.
Background Check
