What You’ll Do

  • Be the primary point of contact for event clients, from first inquiry through final follow‑up.
  • Manage our event calendar and coordinate facility bookings with precision and professionalism.
  • Develop pricing proposals and connect clients with the right vendor partners to bring their vision to life.
  • Promote upcoming events through marketing channels to drive visibility and engagement.
  • Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown — you’ll see the process through from start to finish.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every touchpoint, resolving challenges with grace under pressure.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, vendor relationships, and event documentation.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or hospitality management.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational instincts and the ability to keep multiple events moving forward simultaneously.
  • A knack for marketing and a comfort with promoting events across digital and traditional channels.
  • Cool‑headed, deadline‑driven, and energized by the pace of live events.
  • A CMP or CSEP certification is a plus — but your experience and enthusiasm matter most.

Qualifications & Requirements Required

  • Proven experience in event planning, event coordination, or hospitality management.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, high‑energy environment.
  • Customer‑service mindset with a friendly, professional demeanor and genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Experience with event marketing strategies and the ability to promote events across multiple channels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event management or CRM software.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) designation.
  • Prior experience working in a venue, resort, agricultural park, or multi‑use event facility setting.
  • Familiarity with contract management and vendor negotiation.
