Primary Function
Power & Purpose (P&P), Tatler’s platform for Asia’s influential and emerging entrepreneurs and leaders, is looking for an editor to join its regional editorial team.
Through sharp storytelling, flagship lists and curated experiences, the P&P platform shows leaders who to know, what’s changing, where to be and how to lead in the areas of wealth, innovation, impact and business.
Working closely with Tatler P&P’s regional senior editor, the Hong Kong editor is responsible for leading and supporting all P&P activities in Hong Kong, including content, events, branded content and community building. The successful candidate will represent the P&P brand locally—including its sub-brands Gen.T, Front & Female and Tatler Most Influential—and contribute to driving the regional content strategy with the KPIs of audience growth, retention and engagement.
The Hong Kong editor will be responsible for planning, producing and executing high-quality and original local editorial and branded content for P&P’s digital, social and print platforms.
The successful candidate will have great attention to detail, strong writing and editing skills, strong collaborative skills, and be able to manage a daily editorial workflow with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and produce compelling and unique content that can organically grow the brand’s audience.
- Support the local team in the execution of branded content for Hong Kong partners.
- Collaborate closely with sales and other brand divisions to develop and execute local sponsorship opportunities in editorial content.
- Be the local content lead for all P&P editorial products, events and initiatives.
- Drive production of the Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow and Tatler Most Influential lists, and Front & Female Awards in Hong Kong.
- Support and collaborate closely with key teams in the planning and execution of signature P&P events, such as the Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow celebration and Gen.T Summit.
- Develop and execute media partnerships in Hong Kong to build brand equity, reach new audiences and build community.
- Be the bridge between the Tatler core and P&P teams, working closely with the local team to ensure P&P is represented across Tatler Hong Kong’s platforms.
- Brand representative for P&P and its sub-brands in Hong Kong.
Minimum requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in print and/or digital editorial.
- Creative thinker with strong editing and writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of SEO and digital trends.
- Strong social media skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred requirements
- Project management experience, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects at a time.
- Experience in producing content for website, social media and/or newsletters.
- Experience working in a fast-paced media environment.
- Experience supporting commercial team in creative pitches.
- Competent in public speaking.
- Competent in written Traditional Chinese.
