We are seeking an exceptional Director of Interior Design to lead the creative direction for a prestigious portfolio of high-end hotels, resorts, and hospitality developments in Dubai and across the region. About the Role
As Director of Interior Design, you will be the creative force behind breathtaking interiors that blend cultural sophistication, innovation, and opulence. You will lead a talented team of designers and collaborate closely with architects, developers, hotel operators, and international design studios to deliver projects that set new benchmarks in the luxury hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end interior design process for new-build and renovation projects across luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, and public areas.
- Develop and maintain a distinctive design language that elevates brand identity while incorporating local heritage and contemporary luxury trends.
- Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee design teams, external consultants, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement.
- Present design concepts to senior stakeholders, owners, and operators with compelling storytelling and visualization.
- Stay ahead of global design trends, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies in hospitality interiors.
Requirements
- Proven Expertise: 15+ years of senior-level interior design experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on luxury hospitality (5-star hotels, resorts, or branded residences).
- Portfolio: A strong track record of completed luxury hospitality projects in the Middle East or similar fast-paced international markets.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. Professional membership (e.g., RIBA) is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional creative vision, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software. Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing skills.
- Personal Attributes: Culturally sensitive, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment. Fluency in English is essential.
