Director, Content Strategy Jobs in Bentonville, AR at Creative Circle
Our well-known retail client is seeking a Director, Content Strategy to help with a large website project for at least 12 months.
This is 40 hours/week, hybrid onsite at least 3 days per week in Bentonville, AR. Their preference is for someone currently in the area, but are open to those that might be willing to relocate temporarily for this contract for the right candidate.
This is exciting opportunity for a Director, Content Strategy who will get to work on a big project for a well-known client! Client is getting ready to go live with refreshed brand for their corporate website. You'll help interpret audience research, create storytelling strategy/guide content development and help map out the content calendar.
In order to be considered the Director, Content Strategy must have:
-Minimum of 10 years experience
-Proven experience leading content strategy
-Has worked on larger brand or helped launch a brand
-Ability to step in with content execution when needed
-Executive presence as you'll interface with C-Suite
Director, Content Strategy Responsibilities:
Corporate Website Strategy & Ownership
-Lead the strategic development and launch of corporate website, defining its purpose, audience strategy, content architecture, and editorial vision
-Define content models, page strategies, and governance standards to ensure the site scales sustainably post-launch.
-Partner with platform, UX, SEO, and technology teams to establish best practices that ensure the site is optimized for discoverability, usability, and performance.
Evergreen Content Strategy & Governance
-Establish an evergreen content strategy, defining core narratives, content pillars, and strategic priorities.
-Determine how to leverage owned and shared platforms to tell a cohesive story over time.
-Ensure consistency in voice, tone, narrative, and quality across platforms through clear standards and playbooks.
Narrative Leadership & Editorial Direction
-Provide senior-level editorial direction for flagship content, ensuring storytelling is clear, credible, and on-brand partnering with channel and platform leaders to ensure content is fit-for-platform and optimized for performance, and with creative teams to translate strategy into high-quality creative expression.
-Translate communications strategy into compelling, audience-relevant storylines that align to enterprise priorities as part of a connected content ecosystem.
-Use performance insights and audience behavior to refine content strategy and inform future planning as well as identify white-space storytelling opportunities that build trust, relevance, and brand affinity.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
