What you’ll be doing

As a Digital Designer at KiwiPlates, you'll take ownership of the digital design function and play a pivotal role in shaping the customer experience across our digital channels. Working closely with our Digital Project Manager, developers and leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, owning the design process from concept through to delivery and creating engaging digital experiences that drive customer engagement and conversion.

This is a varied role where you'll work across website design, UX/UI improvements, EDMs, digital marketing assets and customer journey optimisation.

Outcomes You’ll Drive

  • Engaging Digital Experiences. Design user-friendly website layouts, social media, and email campaigns that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Align Design with Business & User Needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs meet business goals and enhance user journeys.
  • Produce High-Quality UX/UI designs. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that clearly communicate design concepts.
  • Maintain Design Consistency. Establish and maintain design guidelines to ensure cohesive, scalable digital assets.
  • Own the End-to-End Design Process. Lead design from concept to implementation, ensuring high-quality, on-brand results.

What are we looking for?

  • 3–4+ years' experience in a Digital Designer, UX/UI Designer or similar role
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating digital design, UX/UI thinking and customer-focused creative work
  • Experience designing for eCommerce, online retail or other digitally-led customer experiences
  • Proficiency across Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and modern design tools
  • A strong understanding of responsive design, UX principles and digital best practice
  • Experience designing EDMs and digital marketing assets
  • Strong problem-solving skills, commercial thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
