We are seeking a skilled Digital Designer to join our Creative Services team. This role focuses on creating engaging visual communications for digital channels, utilizing imagery, typography, and motion to promote our brands and products. The Digital Designer will translate marketing objectives into impactful campaigns for web and social media. The ideal candidate is an expert communicator with strong creative instincts and the ability to defend their design choices.
Essential Responsibilities
- Produce high-fidelity design comps for web and social media using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Perform photo editing and retouching, creating photorealistic product composites for advertising
- Present design work and articulate the rationale behind creative decisions in weekly design reviews
- Construct simple web pages using HTML and CSS
- Stay current with evolving design trends, tools, and best practices
- Collaborate effectively using company communication platforms, including Slack, Outlook, Wrike, GoToMeeting, Zoom, and Skype
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Preferred / Non-Essential Responsibilities
- Utilize video tools such as Adobe Premiere or After Effects to edit short-form video content using existing templates
- Develop basic wireframes and interaction concepts in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Communicate design intent clearly to front-end engineers for implementation
- Familiarity with the Powersports industry is a plus
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in graphic or digital design
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; working knowledge of Premiere and Lightroom)
- Familiarity with Dreamweaver (or similar) and strong understanding of HTML & CSS best practices
- Exceptional understanding of design principles, layout, color, hierarchy, and typography
- Experience collaborating with copywriters and photographers
- Strong creativity, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated office workspace
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 7+ hours
- Ability to move within an office environment to access equipment
- Ability to read from screens and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
