Overview

Digital Content Manager Jobs in United States at DUDE Wipes

About the Role 🚽

Own the digital shelf — everywhere we sell.

We're building out our e-commerce team, and this is a foundational hire. As our Senior Digital Content Manager, you will be the connective tissue between our brand, our retailers, and our consumers, ensuring that every product page, every description, every image, and every data attribute we put into the world is accurate, compelling, and optimized for both human shoppers and AI discovery engines.

This role spans our full channel footprint: Amazon, Walmart, Target, and DTC. You'll also co-own our emerging AEO/GEO (Answer Engine and Generative Engine Optimization) strategy – a critical and growing area as AI-powered search reshapes how consumers find products. You'll be both a creative voice and an analytical operator, bridging customer insights with content decisions and establishing the process infrastructure.

The unicorn factor: Most content roles fall into either retailer ops or DTC. You'll live in both. You understand that the traditional content and SEO role is evolving and that a product title, bullet, or description is no longer one-size-fits-all – what ranks on Google, what gets cited by an LLM, and what converts on a retailer's PDP each follow different rules, and great copy is engineered to satisfy all.

What you’ll do 💩

(Getting down and dirty!)

  • End-to-end digital shelf strategy and reporting. Including PDP optimization, SEO, AEO, GEO, content syndication, ratings & reviews, and conversion optimization. Set clear KPIs and maintain tracking across PDP completeness, content accuracy and performance, SOS/SOV rank, and AEO/GEO visibility metrics. Own customer-insight reports, such as Brand Analytics and Ratings & Reviews.
  • Insight-to-content pipeline. Synthesize customer signals – Amazon search terms, Rufus query patterns, consumer reviews, competitive analysis, and category intelligence via Stackline – into actionable content updates and copy testing hypotheses. Own category and share-of-voice analysis, translating competitive trends and positioning gaps into content priorities. Be the bridge between what consumers are asking, what the category is doing, and what our pages actually say.
  • E-tailer content. Own product detail page content across retail platforms, including Amazon, Walmart, Target – titles, bullets, A+ modules, enhanced/rich content, images, brand stores, and all item attributes – within each retailer's spec and character limits. Proactively audit for accuracy, optimizations, and competitive positioning. Own new item setup, ensuring launches are executed to best-in-class standards, and identify bundle opportunities.
  • DTC site updates. Maintain and update our Shopify DTC storefront – product pages, collection pages, content modules, and landing pages – working closely with the Creative team and within the existing theme. You're not a developer, but you're comfortable in the backend and can execute updates independently.
  • Content syndication via Syndigo. In partnership with Harvest Group, manage content syndication along with our internal DAM structure to ensure accurate, on-brand, spec-compliant product content is live across all retailer endpoints. Own asset integrity across the catalog.
  • Creative process ownership. Establish and maintain a briefing and request process. You'll define how e-commerce content requests are prioritized, briefed, and tracked, and you'll manage retailer deadlines, seasonal windows, and new product launch timelines with appropriate long lead times built in. Partner closely with the brand and creative teams to deliver compelling, mobile-first content that drives engagement and conversion.
  • SEO & Organic Visibility. Own Google Search Console to monitor organic content performance – indexing health, query-level visibility, structured data/rich result performance, and crawl issues. Use GA4 to understand content-driven traffic behavior and inform optimization priorities. Establish a UTM hygiene framework in partnership with the Sr. Director as the DTC stack matures. Translate organic visibility data into prioritized content actions.
  • AEO/GEO & AI Visibility (Emerging). Partner with Sr. Director of Ecommerce to build DUDE's Answer Engine and Generative Engine Optimization strategy. Own implementation of structured data (FAQ, Product, HowTo schema) and LLM-citable content. Maintain the integrity of the Google Merchant Center feed as a foundational requirement. Track AI search visibility and stay current on ACP and UCP developments as they affect content discoverability.

Qualifications 🧻

(How we hope you’ve already left your… mark!)

  • 8+ years in ecommerce, digital shelf, or omnichannel content management within CPG.
  • Demonstrated experience managing digital shelf execution across grocery and mass retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Instacart).
  • Amazon Vendor Central – proficient in 1P item setup, content and catalog management, Brand Analytics and ARA, Search Query Performance (Seller), and Brand Store Analytics (Ads console).
  • Shopify – comfortable executing product page updates, collection pages, and backend content independently without developer support.
  • Google Search Console – working knowledge of indexing health, query-level visibility, structured data performance, and crawl error resolution.
  • Syndigo – hands-on experience managing content syndication, asset integrity, and retailer endpoint distribution. Experience with other PIMs/DAMs (Salsify or similar) a plus.
  • Stackline or similar retail analytics platform (Profitero, Jungle Scout) – ability to pull category share, competitive content benchmarking, and search rank data, and translate into content actions.
  • AEO/GEO & AI Visibility – foundational understanding of how LLMs discover, evaluate, and cite product content. Familiarity with structured data implementation (FAQ, Product, HowTo schema), LLM-citable copy principles, and the distinction between traditional SEO ranking and AI answer engine visibility. Hands-on experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate active awareness and a point of view on where this is going.
  • Deep understanding of retailer.com content requirements, SEO fundamentals, search taxonomy, and onsite merchandising principles, including how copy standards differ by retailer.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Merchant Center/catalog feed management.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Proven ability to analyze digital shelf KPIs and translate data into actionable content improvements.
  • Strong project management skills – able to manage multiple retailers, launch timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can present insights to leadership and influence without authority.
  • Thrives in a lean team environment where you’re building a process, not inheriting it.

Nice to Have

  • Klaviyo
  • Bazaarvoice or a comparable ratings & reviews platform
  • Experience at a high-growth or challenger CPG brand
