Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Designer role based in Farmingdale, NY. AWe are seeking a creative and driven Designer to join our team, focused on Activewear across Junior, Missy, and Plus categories. This role requires a strong eye for trend, color, and market relevance, along with the ability to execute designs in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop activewear styles across Junior, Missy, and Plus categories
- Research and interpret market trends, color direction, and seasonal concepts
- Create CADs, colorways, and technical design packages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, merchandising, and overseas partners
- Maintain organization of design files and updates throughout development
- Support fittings, sample reviews, and product development timelines
Qualifications:
- Strong design and portfolio skills in fashion or apparel, including sketching, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledge of fabric selection, and garment construction principles
- Strong trend research and concept development skills to drive innovative and market-relevant designs
- Excellent eye for color, trend, and activewear market direction
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and overseas partners
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in activewear or related categories is a plus
- Experience with Be Product PLM is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field preferred
