Position: Design Integration Designer (Temporary Support / Potential for Longer-Term Role)

Our client company is seeking an experienced Design Integration Designer to support their packaging design operations. In this role, you will act as the critical link between creative design and production, ensuring all packaging solutions reflect brand guidelines and creative intent while being feasible for production. This is initially a support position, with the opportunity to evolve into a longer-term role depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Design Integration process from design creation to final packaging artwork, developing efficient workflows aligned with each project’s objectives.
  • Review and select supplier samples to maintain brand consistency and meet creative requirements.
  • Provide transparent updates on project status, timing, and challenges throughout the project lifecycle, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Design, Marketing, Artwork Teams, Packaging Engineers, R&D, Supply Chain) and external partners (Design Agencies, Artwork Providers, Print Suppliers).
  • Partner with Design Integration Managers in other divisions to share best practices and improve workflows, processes, and capabilities.
  • Lead Design/Artwork Pre-Release Feasibility Meetings and Pre-Production Meetings to ensure design intent is maintained and all files are production-ready.
  • Plan and coordinate execution activities, including status tracking, forecasting, and meetings with artwork managers

  • Troubleshoot artwork, prepress, and printing issues, ensuring solutions maintain brand and quality standards.
  • Protect the design intent by ensuring that design strategy is reflected in every production decision.
  • Maintain, update, and communicate packaging guidelines and standards.
  • Support global programs and initiatives for continuous improvement in design-to-print workflows.

Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong understanding of brand guidelines, print production, and packaging workflows
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
  • Comfortable working remotely or on-site in Basel as required.
