Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Design Director to lead and elevate our hospitality design and planning practice. The ideal candidate will blend creative excellence with strategic leadership, overseeing high-profile projects from concept through completion while ensuring design quality, brand alignment, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative direction of hospitality design projects, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, and mixed-use developments.
- Oversee the development of conceptual, schematic, and detailed design solutions, ensuring aesthetic integrity and functional excellence.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to translate brand vision and operational requirements into innovative design strategies.
- Mentor, guide, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of designers, architects, and planners, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets, schedules, and quality standards without compromising design excellence.
- Conduct site visits and participate in project meetings to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
- Stay ahead of hospitality trends, materials, technologies, and design innovations to maintain the firm’s competitive edge.
- Contribute to business development by participating in pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in hospitality design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record leading large-scale hospitality projects from concept to completion.
- Exceptional creative vision, aesthetic sensibility, and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations, branding, and guest experience principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
