We’re looking for a Design Assistant to join our growing Design Team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about fashion, trends and product who is eager to grow within a fast-paced and creatively driven environment.
Working closely with Designers and the wider Product Team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the execution of collections across research, organisation, design workflow and product development support.
The Role
As a Design Assistant, you will support the Design Team across daily operations, collection workflow and creative development.
You’ll assist with trend research, CAD updates, design preparation, fittings, documentation and maintaining organised design systems while gaining exposure across the full design and development process.
This role is ideal for someone highly organised, creatively driven and excited by the energy of working within a fast-moving fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Collection Support
• Support the Design Team with day-to-day collection workflow and execution
• Assist with trend research, mood boards, presentation decks and seasonal inspiration
• Organise fabric references, trims, colour palettes and collection development materials
• Assist with CAD updates, image preparation and bulk uploads where required
• Support the preparation and formatting of tech packs and handover documentation
• Maintain organisation across shared design folders, files and collection assets
Systems & Workflow Support
• Assist with maintaining accurate style information and imagery within Style Arcade
• Upload fit imagery and support organisation of design documentation
• Help maintain organised and up-to-date design records and collection information
• Assist with preparation for fittings, range reviews and internal presentations
• Support Designers across multiple categories and collections simultaneously
Trend Research & Team Collaboration
• Conduct competitor and trend research across social media, ecommerce, runway and street style
• Support Designers with compiling seasonal inspiration and emerging trend direction
• Work collaboratively across Design, Product Development, Buying and Garment Tech teams
• Assist with ad hoc creative and administrative tasks within the wider product team
• Stay engaged with fashion, social and cultural trends relevant to the Peppermayo customer
Requirements
We’re looking for someone organised, enthusiastic and passionate about all things fashion and product.
You’ll ideally have:
• 1+ years experience in a Design Assistant, Product Assistant or similar fashion role
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Google Workspace
• Experience using Style Arcade or similar PLM systems highly regarded
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for fashion product, trends and ecommerce
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the team
