Position: Debate Panelist Monthly Political Podcast
Overview
Our National Conversation is building a non-partisan solution platform for American policy issues.
Responsibilities
- Join monthly political podcast as 3-4 skilled on-air debaters to present well-researched, persuasive arguments on political issues.
- Participate in structured debates via Zoom, that will be edited and posted onto our social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the production team on prep and fact-checking as needed.
- Maintain reliable availability and commitment to show guidelines, supporting the nonprofit mission. Depending on ideas, availability, and success, we may hold multiple debates each month.
Format and Logistics
- This position is remote, with work primarily conducted over Zoom and Slack, so applicants must be comfortable coordinating in a remote environment and are expected to maintain a high level of communication.
- The duration of these duties is preferred to be at least six (6) months.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: This is not a paid position.

Qualifications
- Prior podcasting or broadcast experience (hosting, co-hosting, producing).
- Strong on-air presence and ability to engage listeners (charisma, storytelling).
- Journalism, political science, law, public policy, or related academic/professional background.
- Experience moderating or adjudicating debates.
- Proficienct use of the English language (reading, writing, speaking)
- Social media presence or ability to help promote episodes.
