We run paid social for brands that care about performance. Not vanity metrics, not pretty-for-the-sake-of-pretty creative. Ads that actually work.
We're looking for a creative strategist to own the thinking behind what we make. You won't be designing anything. You'll be the person who looks at performance data, spots what's fatiguing before it tanks, watches what competitors and the broader market are doing, and write detailed briefs that our designers bring to life.
This person has opinions.
They can open a dashboard and tell you which hooks are winning, which angles are dying, and what to test next without being asked. They probably save ads to a swipe file on their own time because they find it genuinely interesting. They think in scroll-stoppers and angles.
What you'll do
- Review ad performance data across client accounts and flag what's fatiguing or underperforming
- Research competitor ads, trending formats, and winning creative in your clients' space
- Write briefs that include hooks, angles, scripts, and visual direction for our designers
- Collaborate with our design and editing team who handle all production
- Keep the creative pipeline stocked so we're testing new ideas before old ones burn out
Who you are
- You can open an ad account, audit creative performance, and come back with a clear read on what's working, what's dying, and why
- You can pull winning ads from competitors and break down what makes them effective
- You can write a brief that a designer picks up and runs with
- You have a sharp eye for what's trending on social and know how to adapt it into paid creative that converts
- You don't need to be managed closely because you're already thinking about what's next
Experience
We don't care where you went to school or what your resume looks like on paper. We care that you've actually done this work and can prove it. If you've spent time in performance marketing, whether at an agency, in-house, or freelancing, and you know what good creative strategy looks like in practice and can turn that into clear direction for a design team, we want to hear from you.
The details
Contract, hourly, 5-15 hrs/week to start. No mandatory meetings, no rigid schedules. You do the work when it makes sense for you. We're a quickly growing agency, so workload naturally scales over time.
Timezone overlap with North America preferred. Freelancers and independent contractors welcome! If you're currently at an agency and looking for something on the side, that works too.
How we hire
- If there's a fit, we'll send a short test project (paid) based on a real ad account. Simple analysis & briefing a new ad. No free work, no spec. We want to see how you think, not how you present.
- Top candidates get a video call, then a 30-day trial so we can both make sure it's the right fit.
