Overview

Creative Strategist Jobs in United States at El Toro Interactive, LLC

About the Role

El Toro Interactive is looking for a Creative Strategist who leads with ideas and backs them up with process. You're not an analyst who dabbles in creative — you're a creative thinker who knows how to build a system around your instincts so the best ideas actually get tested, learned from, and scaled.

You'll work alongside our strategy team to develop and drive the creative direction for ecommerce clients across paid social — shaping what gets made, how it gets tested, and why. You'll be client-facing, opinionated, and genuinely energized by the craft of the brief.

What You'll Do

  • Lead creative strategy for paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest — with a strong point of view on concept, format, and messaging
  • Own the briefing process: write sharp, structured briefs that give our internal creative team real direction across all formats — statics, GIFs, video, AI-generated assets, and beyond
  • Build and maintain an organized testing roadmap that balances structured iteration (hooks, formats, angles) with room for bigger creative swings
  • Work alongside the strategy team to align creative priorities with channel goals, audience insights, and performance data
  • Participate in client conversations about creative strategy — helping clients understand not just what to make, but how much to brief, why each concept exists, and what we're learning
  • Develop frameworks for how creative gets tested and iterated — moving away from the spaghetti method toward intentional, hypothesis-driven experimentation
  • Know when and how to incorporate UGC and influencer creative into the mix — as one format in the toolkit, not the default answer
  • Stay genuinely plugged into what's new: formats, trends, platform behavior, and emerging creative executions

What We're Looking For

  • 3–4 years in creative strategy, paid social creative, or content — agency or DTC brand experience preferred
  • Creative-first orientation: you have a distinct creative voice and you're energized by concepting, not just optimizing
  • Experience building and owning a creative testing framework — structured, documented, and tied to learning goals (not just volume)
  • Strong briefing skills: you know what a good brief does and you can write one that actually directs creative rather than just describing it
  • Comfort in client-facing settings — you can explain creative strategy clearly and confidently without jargon
  • Your own organizational systems for managing briefs, roadmaps, and test documentation across multiple clients
  • Familiarity with Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest ad formats and what performs on each
  • Exposure to performance data and attribution tools (Triple Whale or similar) — you don't need to live in the numbers, but you need to speak the language

You'll Thrive Here If You

  • Get genuinely excited by a new concept — and equally excited by proving whether it works
  • Can tell the difference between a creative swing worth taking and noise — and can explain that distinction to a client
  • Have a system behind your process that you built yourself and can walk someone through
  • Want to be part of a strategy team, not just hand off work to one

Compensation

  • $75,000-$80,000
