Pelmen Foods has been manufacturing premium frozen food in Toronto for 30 years. We operate four consumer brands — Pelmen Perogies, Holy Perogy! (CPG + fast-casual restaurants), and BigYum — plus one of Canada's largest Costco Roadshow programs.
We have an in-house photo and video studio. We have product, distribution, and brand equity. What we're building now is the creative engine to match.
This is a new role. You'll be the first person in it, which means you'll build the systems, set the standards, and own the output. Executive team access. Real ownership. No committee.
What This Role Actually Is:
You're the connective tissue between leadership, the creative team, and the world outside. You manage the calendar, write the briefs, run the influencer program, track what's working, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks — across multiple brands, simultaneously.
You are not a coordinator who escalates problems. You are the person who solves them.
What You'll Own
- Social media strategy and content calendars across all four brands
- Creative project management: intake, briefs, timelines, approvals, asset delivery
- Influencer and creator relationships: outreach, contracting, briefing, performance tracking
- Community engagement across all channels
- Trend monitoring, competitor analysis, and platform intelligence
- Performance reporting and recommendations to leadership
- Coordination of designers, photographers, videographers, freelancers, and agencies
Who You Are
- You've managed social for a brand — not just posted.
- You've built content calendars under pressure and kept them.
- You've written a brief that a photographer or designer could actually use.
- You've run an influencer campaign end to end.
- You know what makes food look good on camera and what makes people stop scrolling.
- You're comfortable operating without a playbook.
- You're organized enough to manage six active projects without losing a thread.
- And you genuinely care about food — not as a category, but as something worth getting excited about.
Required
- 5+ years in social media management, content operations, or brand marketing
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple brands or projects simultaneously
- Strong written communication — briefs, captions, reports, and emails all need to be clear and sharp
- Hands-on experience with influencer programs (finding, briefing, tracking, reporting)
- Proficiency in Instagram, TikTok, and Meta Business Suite
- Portfolio, links, or examples you're proud of
Strong Assets
- Food, CPG, or restaurant industry background
- Experience with Monday.com, Asana, or similar project management tools
- Comfort with AI tools as part of your workflow
- Production experience: you've been on a shoot and know what a shot list is
