About The Role
At Kuku FM, we don’t just host audio; we build the future of storytelling. As a Creative Producer (Any southern Language), your goal is to create "unputdownable" audiobooks that define pop culture. You will be the architect of high-stakes drama, heart-wrenching romance, and pulse-pounding thrillers that keep millions of listeners coming back for the next cliff-hanger.
What You’ll Do
- The Architect of Hits (Editorial & Storytelling)
- The Hook & The Cliff: Master the art of the 30-second hook and the end-of-episode cliff-hanger to maximize listener retention.
- Character Bibles: Develop deep, relatable characters that listeners feel they know. You aren’t just editing scripts; you’re building icons.
- Novelty vs. Relevance: Identify tropes that the people love, while injecting fresh, "never-heard-before" concepts to attract younger, urban audiences.
- Building the Writer’s Guild (Community & IP)
- Talent Scouting: Recruit and mentor a "Writer’s Room" of top-tier regional talent, from published novelists to viral social media storytellers.
- IP Expansion: Turn standalone books into long-running franchises and multi-season universes.
- AI-Enhanced Production
- Visual Storytelling: Leverage AI tools (Midjourney, Runway, Kling, etc.) to create stunning visual assets that bring your audio characters to life for marketing and social media.
- Format Innovation: Experiment with AI-assisted sound design and pacing to heighten the immersion of the audio experience.
- Commercial Strategy & Growth
- The Viral Loop: Partner with the Marketing & Social Media teams to create "theatrical" trailers and social hooks that make your shows trend.
- Data-Driven Creative: Use listener drop-off data to diagnose script issues. If listeners leave at minute 5, you’re the one who figures out why and fixes the arc.
Who You Are
- 5+ Years’ Experience: You’ve built content for OTT, Radio, or Digital Media that people actually talked about.
- Native Language Polymath: You don't just speak the language; you understand the nuances, slang, and cultural "pulse" of the region (Tamil/Telugu/Malayalam/Kannada).
- Story Mechanic: You can take a boring 10-page draft and find the one "spark" that makes it a 100-episode hit.
- Tech-Curious: You aren't afraid of AI; you see it as a superpower to scale your creative vision.
- Team Player: Apart from writers, you will be working with Video Editors, Sound Designers, Production Houses, Promo Writers. Ability to gel in the team is a must.
