This is a business in growth mode, expanding into major retail partnerships including Target US, evolving their product range and continuing to build a brand that shows up with consistency and real cultural relevance across every touchpoint.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is the creative engine of SLICKHAIR. As Creative Director, you will be responsible for the brand's global creative output, ensuring visual consistency, elevated execution and cohesive storytelling across every physical and digital touchpoint.

This is not a role for someone who has moved entirely into oversight. The right person is genuinely excited to be on the tools – equally as comfortable presenting a campaign concept to the Founder as they are building out a retailer asset pack.

The balance of strategy and craft is crucial. You'll be designing, art directing and executing just as much as you're strategising, with every piece of work continuing to raise the standard SLICKHAIR holds itself to globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Creative & Visual Consistency

  • Maintain and evolve the global visual identity of SLICKHAIR across all channels, upholding brand guidelines, tone and creative direction across every customer touchpoint.
  • Ensure consistency across digital, retail, social, eCommerce, packaging, PR and campaign assets.
  • Work directly with retailers and wholesale partners to supply and adapt creative assets to retailer specifications while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure all outputs align with brand strategy and positioning

Creative Design & Execution

  • Ideate and develop creative assets across digital, social, email, website, OOH, retail, events and PR.
  • Produce final artwork files ready for print and production, and design and evolve product packaging and NPD concepts.
  • Create 3D product renders and mock-ups for launches, presentations and marketing use.
  • Collaborate with developers and eCommerce teams on website design and UX improvements.

Product Development & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Contribute to the stage and gate process, providing creative input and direction for new products, from naming and packaging concepts through to launch.
  • Ensure creative direction is embedded in the product development process, not bolted on at the end.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand & Marketing, social and eCommerce teams on launch strategies and creative rollouts.
  • Present concepts and campaign rationale internally through polished creative decks and contribute to long-term brand strategy discussions.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success means that the SLICKHAIR brand shows up with the same level of craft and consistency, whether someone finds them on TikTok, walks past them in a Priceline aisle or discovers them on a Target shelf in the US.

When campaigns are commercially effective and creatively impossible to ignore. When packaging feels premium and cohesive from the very start of the product development process. When the brand is continuing to evolve ahead of the curve and never standing still.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You have 4 to 7 years of experience in a graphic design, art direction or creative role within beauty, fashion, lifestyle or consumer brands. Your work spans brand identity, campaign creative, packaging and digital execution – it's work you built with your own hands, not just signed off on.

When it comes to commercial conversations, you don't shy away from the brief or the business reality behind it. You can balance creative ambition with what actually needs to land on shelf, in-feed or in-store, and you bring strategic context to every single activation.

You're advanced across Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, experienced in art directing shoots end-to-end and comfortable with 3D renders, packaging production and eCommerce platforms.

You are highly organised, comfortable managing multiple projects across a lean team and you do not drop quality under pressure. You collaborate well with marketing, NPD and external partners, and you bring people along rather than working in isolation.
