About the Company
Mackie Myers is partnering with an established fashion and apparel brand to identify a creative and detail-oriented Designer ready to play a key role in bringing seasonal collections to life across multiple product categories.
About the Role
Reporting to the Design team leadership, this role spans the full design process — from concept through development — with close collaboration across Technical Design, Product Development, and global vendor partners.
Responsibilities
- Design across multiple categories including RTW, lingerie, knitwear, and swimwear
- Create detailed sketches, CADs, and artworks that clearly communicate design intent, including strong embroidery artwork execution
- Develop, maintain, and update tech packs and BOMs in partnership with Technical Design and Product Development
- Participate in fit sessions and communicate fit corrections through live fittings and 3D CAD revisions
- Maintain accurate product information including fabric descriptions, construction details, and product copy
- Create and update internal design line sheets and seasonal collection tools
- Support and prioritize the workload of a part-time Design Assistant
- Communicate regularly with overseas vendors and factory partners to track development, approvals, and sample progress
- Conduct ongoing trend, market, vintage, and competitive research to inform seasonal concepts and product direction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
Required Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in a fashion design role within a contemporary or specialty apparel environment
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes across multiple categories
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; Procreate experience a plus
- Strong sketching and CAD skills with excellent attention to detail
- Able to translate inspiration into commercially viable product concepts
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple seasons and deadlines simultaneously
- Collaborative, solution-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
