Peka is an anomaly. Not the kind you put in a pitch deck. The kind your friends describe when they say, "wait, they actually work like that?"
We work with brands, from startups to names your mom has heard of.
But that's not the interesting part.
The interesting part is that we actually built a space where people grow. Not in a poster-on-the-wall way. In a "we have incubation sessions", we use a custom-built Agency OS, and your hours are actually yours kind of way.
The clients are exciting. The culture is weird and warm. And if you've been waiting for a place that takes your craft seriously without taking itself too seriously, hi.
What you'll do
Write campaigns, taglines, scripts, headlines, press releases, and whatever else it takes to make a brand stick in someone's head. You'll write for many industries, many tones, and many audiences.
But mostly, you'll write things that feel human in a world increasingly full of things that don't.
You're probably the one if
· You write witty ads without trying to sound witty
· You switch tones the way people switch playlists: naturally, and with taste
· You understand what a brand actually wants, even when the brief doesn't quite say it
· You're obsessive about words, in the way that makes you go back for one word three times at 11pm
· You're culturally fluent: you notice things, you read the room, you get the joke
· You work well with people, dogs, deadlines, and the occasional "can we change the direction a bit?"
The boring basics
Background in Communications, Marketing, English, or something adjacent. Creative industry experience helps but if your work speaks for itself, we're listening. Degree preferred, portfolio required.
One last (very) important thing
AI is not the threat. Average is.
- We need someone who writes better than a prompt, thinks stranger than a template, and cares more than the algorithm ever will.
