Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Coordinator for Marketing, Events, and Government Affairs & Tourism to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead impactful marketing initiatives, coordinate engaging events, and advocate for community interests. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting local businesses, enhancing community engagement, and supporting tourism efforts through innovative strategies and meticulous planning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Chamber’s e-mail marketing campaigns including the creation and distribution of a weekly newsletter, Capitol Connection and other targeted e-mails.
- Lead the social media strategy and content across all Chamber platforms.
- Assist with maintaining the Chamber’s online event calendar and website content.
- Assist in planning and executing networking breakfasts, mixers, and signature events.
- Support programs such as Leadership Conejo, Teacher of the Month, Candidate Forum and Principal for a Half Day
- Build strong relationships with local government officials, community organizations, and stakeholders to advocate for policies that benefit the business community.
- Support advocacy communications and legislative correspondence.
- Coordinate logistics and materials for key committees and boards, including Legislative Roundtable, Education Council, Conejo PAC, and CVTID Board.
- Assist with tourism initiatives, including member marketing reimbursements and website content updates
- Provide overall administrative support as needed, including answering phones and welcoming walk-in guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional work experience.
- Experience in marketing strategies including digital marketing, e-mail software and event promotion preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, Outlook and other software as needed.
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and foster collaborative relationships.
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
