The Role

As our Content Manager, you'll lead the strategic planning, governance, and delivery of content across PACE. Sitting within the collaborative External Engagement Division, you'll manage a team of content specialists to create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content that strengthens our brand and supports organisational priorities. Working closely with the Website Experience Manager and Growth Marketing Manager, you'll translate strategic and campaign briefs into compelling, audience-led content. From shaping our funnel-based content strategy to ensuring consistency and accessibility, you'll play a key role in how our audiences discover and engage with PACE. What you'll do:

  • Own and evolve a funnel-based content strategy aligned to audience needs, SEO, and AI-driven search behaviours
  • Lead and develop a team of content specialists, while contributing hands-on to the creation of high-quality written and visual content across campaigns and the website
  • Translate campaign and website briefs into clear, effective content, overseeing production workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across channels
  • Use data and insight to measure performance, optimise content, and drive continuous improvement
  • Govern and maintain website content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and consistency
  • Act as a brand guardian, maintaining and evolving visual and verbal identity guidelines
  • Manage external agencies and production partners to deliver high-impact multimedia content when needed

Your skills:

  • Proven experience in a content management, editorial, or brand-focused role
  • Experience leading creative or content teams and managing workflows effectively
  • Strong understanding of SEO, AI search optimisation, and performance-led content strategy
  • Excellent copywriting and editorial skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content
  • Experience managing website content and working with digital or web specialists
  • Confidence working with multimedia creators, agencies, or external partners
  • Strong organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for storytelling, brand, and audience engagement
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience

Elements of this role are suitable for hybrid working, where staff can split their time between in-person collaboration and remote working. The frequency of the remote elements of the role can be discussed with the recruiting manager.

You will be based at Madingley Hall, located just outside of Cambridge city centre, twice a week, with the rest of your time working remotely.
