noisy is a culture-first media studio connecting brands across music, entertainment and lifestyle. We operate and represent some of Australia's most exciting cultural platforms: Lines, a real-time nightlife guide across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and London; Mixmag ANZ, the Australian and New Zealand arm of the world's biggest dance music brand; WhatsLively, a music discovery platform powered by streaming data; and Maple Social Club, a free-entry community events series bringing people together across Australian cities.

Beyond our platforms, we create activations and live experiences that put brands at the centre of culture, not the edges of it.

THE ROLE

We believe in high-frequency, authentic, creator-led marketing. Content that actually sounds like a human made it, moves fast, and builds something real over time.

This is not a traditional marketing role. We’re not looking for someone to manage campaigns from behind a spreadsheet. We’re looking for a storyteller.

Someone who can take what noisy does and make it impossible to ignore. Who can write a LinkedIn post that stops the scroll, put together a short video that feels real, and show up with a point of view on behalf of a company they believe in.

You might be two years into your career or ten. That’s not what matters. What matters is that you know how to tell a good story, you understand culture, and you’re willing to put yourself out there.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Social media and content creation

  • Video is your primary medium. You think in short-form content first, everything else follows
  • Create short-form video content, written posts and visual stories that make noisy impossible to ignore across LinkedIn, Instagram and beyond
  • Work with the leadership team to develop noisy’s video strategy, shaping how the brand shows up on camera and building a distinct visual voice in public
  • Build a publishing cadence that leads with video and grows our audience with the right people

Storytelling and thought leadership

  • Find and tell the stories inside noisy, from campaign wins and platform milestones to cultural trends and industry commentary
  • Write and place content in relevant trade publications including Mumbrella, Media Week and B&T, using existing or newly built relationships with editors and journalists
  • Draft contributed articles, press releases and editorial content that positions noisy as a leading voice in Australian music, entertainment and lifestyle marketing

Website

  • Lead the rollout and launch of the new noisy website at noisycollective.com, coordinating copy, content and assets
  • Keep the site current and make sure it reflects what noisy is actually doing and building

EDM and email marketing

  • Develop and run a regular newsletter to noisy’s network of client and agency partners
  • Write emails people actually want to read, cultural insight, highlights, things worth knowing
  • Manage and grow the list over time

Industry events

  • Help coordinate noisy’s presence at industry events, roundtables and cultural moments
  • Represent the noisy brand at in-person events when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience level is open. What we’re not flexible on:

  • You can tell a great story, in writing, on camera, or in a room
  • You are comfortable on camera when needed and know how to make short-form video content that actually lands
  • You have a strong, distinctive voice and the confidence to use it publicly on behalf of a brand
  • You understand social media as a craft, not just a posting schedule
  • You have a genuine interest in music & culture. You need to get the world we operate in
  • You are proficient with AI tools; you use Claude and similar tools to work smarter and produce better output, not just faster
  • You are self-sufficient and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team
  • You are based in Australia. Only applicants based in Australia will be considered

Existing relationships with trade press editors at publications like Mumbrella, Media Week or B&T are a strong plus but not essential.
