The Opportunity:

Are you excited by the fast pace of a growing startup? Do you love to help make meaningful connections between brands and people? Do you instinctively jump into conversations online, know how to spark engagement, and turn community into real growth? We're looking for a Community Lead to build, grow, and nurture our online and offline presence. In this role, you will engage with our followers, influencers, and customers—responding to questions, leaving clever comments, starting conversations, and spotting opportunities to collaborate with aligned creators. Beyond managing comments and DM’s, you will play a key part in shaping how our brand shows up in the world; from building relationships to driving conversations, you will help turn community engagement into measurable impact on Lucky Iron Life’s brand awareness, trust, and revenue.

This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Brand, with whom you will work closely to ensure community efforts support broader e-commerce growth.

What you will do:

  • Manage customer and community interactions across all channels, turning every touchpoint into a meaningful brand experience.
  • Identify opportunities and maintain genuine relationships with our community of creators and brand partners.
  • Monitor community sentiment, trends, and conversations to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Identify opportunities to engage with target audiences across digital channels as well as physical locations (eg: events, run clubs, podcasts, etc.)
  • Support the development of IRL touchpoints that deepen community connection and brand trust.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content, campaigns, and product positioning
  • Assist with marketing projects as needed to contribute to overall team success

What you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in community management and social engagement
  • Excellent written, verbal, and active listening skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management, and time management skills
  • Deep knowledge of digital communities, UGC ecosystems, and driving community engagement
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service mindset; leading with empathy and patience
  • Deeply plugged into the latest social media trends and best practices
  • Quick to adopt and leverage new tools and platforms
  • Comfortable working with data and analytics to measure success and inform decisions
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
  • A proactive, curious mindset—you don’t wait for conversations, you start them

Bonus Points If:

  • Interest in health, wellness, and building mission-driven brands
  • Experience with project management tools (Trello, Monday.com, Slack)
  • Knowledge and experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) or customer service tools (Gorgias)
  • Creative thinking and a sense of humour

What We Offer:

  • Salary: $65,000 -$80,000 based on experience
  • Comprehensive group benefits including health and dental coverage
  • Flexible Working Hours: Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm EST. However, we offer flexible working hours to help employees maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Hybrid Work Environment: Toronto-based with remote work options
