As a key member of the Strategic Communications team, you will report to the Senior Communications Manager and play a critical role in advancing awareness of CCS’s impactful programs. Your responsibilities will include developing communications plans, fostering relationships with media, and crafting diverse materials that convey important messages. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure our outreach aligns with our organizational priorities and resonates within communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute communications strategies across channels

• Plan media relations and PR initiatives as needed

• Create engaging communications materials for various stakeholders

• Collaborate on brand marketing and social media efforts

• Monitor media coverage and emerging issues proactively

Requirements:

• Degree in communications, public relations, or journalism

• 3-5 years of communications or media relations experience

• Strong editing and project management skills

• Keen understanding of the media landscape in British Columbia

• English proficiency required; bilingualism an asset
