The Role:
In this role, you will support the planning, development, and execution of DAZN’s PR and communication strategies in Japan. You will help craft narratives that resonate with fans, build strong relationships with media partners, and support the delivery of campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of our product.
You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Marketing, Social, Product, and international PR colleagues—to ensure our stories are told in a cohesive, multi‑dimensional way. From press releases and media outreach to campaign planning and event support, you will be involved in a wide range of activities that shape DAZN’s public presence.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Propose, plan, and execute PR strategies and communication activities for DAZN, including year‑round communication planning.
- Develop and deliver impactful storytelling: create narratives, identify target audiences and media, prepare press releases, and collaborate with marketing for multi‑dimensional storytelling.
- Write and review press materials such as press releases, fact sheets, articles, and briefing documents for spokespeople.
- Manage media relations: handle inquiries, maintain and expand media networks, create media lists, and coordinate meetings with press contacts.
- Monitor news and sports trends, track and evaluate press coverage, and identify opportunities across media and social platforms.
- Support the delivery of campaigns and day‑to‑day PR activities, working with internal teams and external agencies to generate buzz around DAZN’s content and product.
- Assist in planning and organizing press events and experiential activities that enhance brand visibility.
- Provide team support including reporting, presentation creation, administrative tasks, and cross‑department communication.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PR or marketing communications (5 years preferred), ideally within media, sports, or consumer brands.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Deep interest in sports and strong understanding of the Japanese sports and media landscape.
- Experience adapting global communication or marketing strategies for the Japanese market.
- Native‑level Japanese communication skills and strong written/reading English abilities; confident presenting and communicating with internal stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with strong analytical skills, and the ability to craft compelling stories across multiple channels.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external agencies.
- Tech‑savvy, with familiarity in social media, digital content, and general IT tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
