We zoeken een ervaren Productieleider met affiniteit voor orkestproducties, voor zowel klassieke concerten als filmconcerten binnen Cinema in Concert. Iemand die artistieke plannen moeiteloos vertaalt naar strak georganiseerde producties, en die van de eerste planning tot het laatste applaus de regie houdt.

Making Waves is een ambitieuze evenementenorganisatie actief binnen de dance- en theatersector. Met merken als Cinema in Concert, ZeeZout, By the Creek en Ohm Festival produceren we uiteenlopende live-evenementen: van filmconcerten in Het Concertgebouw en grootschalige concerten in Rotterdam Ahoy tot festivals, club nachten en bijzondere cross-over events.
Vanuit Amsterdam werken we aan het creëren van onvergetelijke ervaringen. We ontwikkelen en produceren onze evenementen volledig in-house: van concept en productie tot marketing en boekingen. Gedreven door kwaliteit, creativiteit en een onderscheidende beleving.
Over de rol
Als Productieleider ben je de spil in voor onze concerten. Jij zorgt dat alles klopt: van eerste planning tot het laatste applaus. Iemand die artistieke plannen moeiteloos vertaalt naar strak georganiseerde producties.
Je werkt nauw samen met orkesten, technici, locaties en collega’s. Jij bewaakt het overzicht, schakelt snel en zorgt dat iedereen optimaal kan presteren. Samen met vier collega’s ben je als productieteam verantwoordelijk voor het produceren van al onze concerten.
Per productie stuur je het team aan en bewaak je het budget. In samenwerking met onze advancer regel je de logistiek rondom medewerkers en materieel. Je pakt daarnaast ook zelf uitvoerend productiewerk op en rapporteert direct aan onze Head of Production.
Wat ga je doen?
- Coördineren van het volledige productieproces van onze concerten en filmconcerten
- Vertalen van artistieke plannen naar concrete draaiboeken en planningen
- Regelen van praktische productievoorzieningen: decor, kleding, accessoires, repetitie- en opslagruimte, vervoer, verblijf, catering en techniek
- Organiseren van repetities, logistiek en technische voorbereiding
- Nauw samenwerken met musici, dirigenten, solisten, locaties en partners
- Leiden van de uitvoering op locatie: van load-in, tot show en load-out
- Bewaken van planning, budget en kwaliteit
- Evalueren van producties en signaleren van verbeter kansen voor volgende projecten
Wat breng je mee?
- 3–5 jaar ervaring in concert-, live- of orkest productie
- Affiniteit met concerten, film en muziek
- Ervaring met live evenementen, theater of klassieke muziek
- Sterk in organisatie, planning en overzicht houden, oplossingsgericht onder druk
- Oog voor detail én gevoel voor timing
- Verbinder tussen artistiek, techniek en productie, schakelt makkelijk tussen verschillende stakeholders
- Je beschikt over leidinggevende eigenschappen
- Uitstekende communicatie in Nederlands en Engels
- Flexibel en bereid om onregelmatig te werken en te reizen
- Je bent in het bezit van Rijbewijs B
- Woonachtig in Amsterdam of omstreken

Making Waves is an ambitious events organisation active in the dance and theatre sectors. With brands like Cinema in Concert, ZeeZout, By the Creek and Ohm Festival, we produce a wide variety of live events: from film concerts in Het Concertgebouw and large-scale concerts in Rotterdam Ahoy to festivals, club nights and distinctive cross-over events.

About the role
As Production Manager, you are the pivot point for our concerts. You ensure everything fits: from the first planning to the final applause. Someone who effortlessly translates artistic plans into tightly organised productions.
You work closely with orchestras, technicians, venues and colleagues. You keep the overview, switch gears quickly and ensure everyone can perform at their best. Together with four colleagues, you form the production team responsible for producing all our concerts.
For each production you lead the team and safeguard the budget. In collaboration with our advancer, you arrange the logistics around staff and equipment. You also pick up hands-on production work yourself and report directly to our Head of Production.
What will you do?
- Coordinate the full production process of our concerts and film concerts
- Translate artistic plans into concrete production schedules and plans
- Arrange practical production resources: set, costumes, props, rehearsal and storage space, transport, accommodation, catering and technical
- Organise rehearsals, logistics and technical preparation
- Work closely with musicians, conductors, soloists, venues and partners
- Lead the execution on-site: from load-in to show and load-out
- Safeguard schedule, budget and quality
- Evaluate productions and identify improvement opportunities for future projects
What do you bring?
- 3–5 years of experience in concert, live or orchestral production
- Affinity with concerts, film and music
- Experience with live events, theatre or classical music
- Strong in organisation, planning and keeping the overview, solution-oriented under pressure
- Eye for detail and sense of timing
- Connector between artistic, technical and production sides, switches easily between different stakeholders
- Leadership qualities
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English
- Flexible and willing to work irregular hours and travel
- Holder of a driver's license (category B)
- Based in or around Amsterdam
