Role Responsibilities
Our Australian team is seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to architect and lead the comprehensive brand and marketing strategy for Zeekr across Australia and New Zealand. As CMO, you will be responsible for shaping the brand’s narrative, driving market penetration, and ensuring sustained commercial growth through innovative and culturally resonant marketing initiatives. You will serve as the ultimate guardian of the Zeekr brand in the ANZ region, overseeing all strategic, creative content, social media, PR, digital marketing, marketing event and operational aspects of marketing to establish Zeekr as a leader in the premium electric vehicle segment.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Product Positioning / Strategy
- Develop and execute the overarching brand and marketing strategy for the ANZ market, ensuring alignment with global vision while incorporating local consumer insights, competitive dynamics, and cultural nuances.
- Lead the positioning of each Zeekr model, crafting differentiated and compelling value propositions tailored to the premium EV landscape.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand awareness, equity, market share, and ROI, adapting strategies based on performance metrics and market feedback.
Brand Narrative & Key Message Development
- Architect a master brand narrative that translates Zeekr’s global philosophy into a locally impactful and emotionally engaging story.
- Develop messaging frameworks that consistently articulate Zeekr’s core pillars—premium design, technological innovation, and customer-centric experience—across all communication channels.
- Ensure all marketing, PR, and consumer touchpoints reflect a unified and powerful brand voice.
Creative Content Direction & Production
- Provide strategic creative direction for all brand assets, including key visuals (KV), video content, digital campaigns, and social media initiatives, ensuring alignment with Zeekr’s premium positioning.
- Oversee end-to-end production of high-impact creative projects, from agency briefing and concept development to final execution, maintaining the highest standards of quality and brand consistency.
Integrated Campaign and Portfolio Strategy
- Lead the development of annual and quarterly marketing themes and campaign platforms that support product launches, seasonal initiatives, and brand-building activities.
- Drive the creation of multi-channel marketing programs that integrate brand storytelling, digital engagement, experiential marketing, and strategic partnerships to maximize market impact.
Brand Governance and Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the primary custodian of Zeekr’s brand identity in ANZ, ensuring all local executions adhere to global brand guidelines while remaining relevant to the regional audience.
- Establish and enforce brand standards for tone, visual identity, and messaging across all channels, including advertising, retail, digital, and events.
- Lead, mentor, and align cross-functional teams—including sales, aftersales, networking, retail, and external agencies—on brand strategy, messaging, and creative execution.
Qualifications & requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, strategic planning, or commercial leadership roles within the automotive OEM or premium technology sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive position
- Proven track record of developing and executing large-scale, integrated brand and product marketing strategies in a highly competitive environment, preferably with direct experience in electric vehicle or new energy automotive markets.
- Deep expertise in the ANZ automotive and premium consumer landscape, including established relationships with key media, influencers, and ecosystem partners. Direct experience launching automotive brands or major model series in this region is essential.
- Exceptional ability to set long-term brand vision and portfolio positioning, with a strong capacity to align creative expression and customer experience with business and sales objectives.
- Outstanding executive communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills, with experience managing multi-cultural and international teams and stakeholders.
- Highly analytical and results-oriented, with a demonstrated history of using data and market insights to shape strategy, track performance, and optimize marketing ROI in an automotive commercial context..
