The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic, hands‑on Brand Directors to lead growing beauty and haircare brands. This leader will own the brand end‑to‑end: strategy, portfolio vision, innovation pipeline, communication, go‑to‑market execution, and commercial performance across both e‑commerce and brick‑and‑mortar retail.

This role is ideal for a left‑and‑right‑brained marketer—someone equally energized by consumer insight, creative storytelling, P&L ownership, and executional excellence, who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation environment.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Leadership & Strategy:

Strengthen the vision for the brand based on our consumer, defining its purpose and values clearly, and developing a strategy that strengthens the brand equity. Own and evolve the brand vision, positioning, and long‑term growth strategy.

  • Translate consumer insights into clear brand architecture, messaging, and portfolio direction.
  • Champion the brand internally and externally, ensuring alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Establish strong governance, brand standards, and decision frameworks.

Portfolio & Innovation Leadership:

Leverage consumer, category, and competitive insights to identify white space opportunity for portfolio development:

  • Identify white-space opportunities grounded in consumer need gaps and commercial viability
  • Lead innovation concepting from insight through launch, partnering closely with Product Development, Regulatory, and Operations
  • Ensure innovation is true to the brand, balancing creativity and performance with clear alignment to the brand’s positioning, values, and role in the portfolio
  • Own add/delete decisions corporately and at retail and ensure the portfolio remains focused, productive, and commercially sound

Communication & Storytelling:

Develop and translate the brand voice throughout all marketing activations to ensure the brand is accurately represented in its compelling story telling:

  • Define communication priorities, key messaging, and campaign timing.
  • Protect and evolve the brand voice across all channels.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to deliver integrated 360° campaigns across digital, retail media, PR, influencer, and in‑store.
  • Oversee Marketing Communications budgets and ensure programs meet objectives.

Go‑to‑Market & Retail Excellence:

The brand leader plays a pivotal role in driving the commercial success and market penetration of the brand. Strong partnership with the Sales teams is necessary for the brands’ success:

  • Lead launch strategy and flawless execution across Amazon and all retail channels (mass, drug, grocery, specialty)
  • Partner with Sales to craft compelling retailer stories, shelf strategies, and growth plans.
  • Understand the nuances of Amazon (content, conversion, media) and brick‑and‑mortar (planograms, velocity, merchandising).
  • Represent the brand in key retailer meetings.

Business Management & Analytics:

Drive insightful brand performance and market opportunity conversations.

  • Own brand performance including revenue, profitability, and investment efficiency.
  • Use POS, Nielsen, Amazon analytics, and consumer research to identify category dynamics, diagnose performance, and accelerate opportunities.
  • Evaluate marketing and innovation ROI with a strong performance mindset.
  • Support forecast accuracy and budget management.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of brand management experience within beauty, wellness, personal care, or adjacent CPG
  • Demonstrated engagement in beauty and personal care, with haircare experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing innovation end-to-end from concept to market
  • Strong understanding of Amazon and brick-and-mortar retail dynamics
  • Experience owning budgets, forecasting, and P&L-adjacent decision making
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating with intensity, urgency, and competing priorities
  • MBA preferred

Additional Job Details:

  • Location: 4 days on-site at 100 New Park Place in Vaughan, ON.
  • Posting Type: Existing vacancy
  • Compensation: Annual base salary of $160,000 – $180,000.
  • In addition, this role is eligible for an annual target bonus based on individual and company performance. Note: actual compensation is determined by factors including skills required and experience.
