We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Manager, Brand Communications to lead our brand narrative across all channels. The ideal candidate will drive integrated communications, protect and elevate the brand’s reputation, and build a high-performing team that delivers creative, on-message campaigns aligned with our business goals. This role will collaborates closely with Marketing, Corporate Communications, Digital, and Creative teams.

Key responsibilities include shaping brand storytelling, managing media relationships, overseeing content across all touchpoints, and measuring the impact of communications initiatives. The Manager will ensure consistency of brand identity, tone of voice, and visual guidelines while driving measurable results that support the company’s vision and values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the brand communications team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Set clear performance objectives and KPIs for individual team members, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and career growth.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage team workload to ensure optimal productivity, timely delivery of projects, and team well-being.
  • Develop and implement integrated brand communications strategies aligned with overall business goals, including press releases, media relations, PR campaigns, and sponsorship evaluations.
  • Conceptualize innovative creative and PR campaigns to build brand awareness, manage reputation, and support strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development of creative concepts and messaging that resonate with target audiences and effectively communicate brand narratives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistent and integrated messaging across all communication channels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive and impactful media coverage.
  • Oversee the creation, distribution, and follow-up of compelling press releases that communicate key news and initiatives.
  • Proactively monitor media coverage and public sentiment, and develop strategies to address potential issues and protect the company’s reputation.
  • Produce high-quality, on-brand copy for various channels, including proofreading and adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure talents selected for TV, radio, voice-overs, and photoshoots align with brand identity and tone of voice guidelines.
  • Establish criteria and processes for evaluating sponsorships, ensuring alignment with brand values and maximizing ROI.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations to internal and external stakeholders to pitch new ideas and strategies.
  • Provide regular progress reports and ensure outputs align with the company’s vision and values.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations or a relevant field.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience and/or a combination of experience and education.

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated communication strategies.
  • Deep understanding of brand identity, tone of voice, and visual guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications.
  • Cultivating, nurturing, and leveraging relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
  • Proficiency in monitoring public sentiment and media coverage to proactively address potential issues and safeguard the company’s reputation.
  • Effective delegation, workload management, and fostering team resilience through initiatives like cross-training.
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and interpret communication performance metrics (e.g., media coverage, campaign impact).
  • Ability to conceptualize creative campaigns and drive impactful messaging.
  • Skill in overseeing creative talent selection (TV, radio, photoshoots) to ensure brand alignment.
