Job Responsibilities: The Assistant General Manager, Event’s role is to support and work directly with the General Manager in managing the facility operations and personnel in a manner that helps achieve the company’s mission and goals while ensuring a positive and creative work environment at all Private Events. You are expected to bring the highest level of customer service and hospitality to every event at the venue while assisting in developing, scheduling, and managing a staff committed to excellence at the facility. This is an in person, labor intensive position. 

Duties: Duties listed below, are not limited to, but are expected areas of concern for the Assistant General Manager of Events.

● Operations 

o Load in, deliveries, box office, and load out coverage 

o Hiring, training and leading part-time staff 

o Accurately submitting payroll in a timely manner 

o Cleanliness and facility maintenance 

o Oversee production needs with GM/PM/Stagehands/Clients/Tours 

o Advance event needs per the client, proposal, and other venue related information 

● Food and Beverage 

o Monthly inventory 

o Oversee Bar Lead and all bar staff 

o Enforce state liquor laws, health code, company rules and venue handbook 

● Box Office and Guest Services 

o Ordering and inventory of box office and office supplies 

o Oversee Guest Services Lead and all box office and guest services staff

o House guest list and daily box office duties 

● Day of Show Events/Concerts 

o Read and know the General Managers job description and be able to fill-in during their absence

o Investigating and resolving incidents, filling out and filing incident reports

o Supervising staff (security, on-duty officer, house/stagehands, bar staff, guest services, runners, cleaners, EMTs, etc.) during load in, event, and load out

● Financial 

o Manage operational expenses and budgets 

o Count, manage and report cash on hand 

Required Skills/Abilities:

● Loves events of all kinds

● Detail oriented and highly organized 

Able to work weekends and nights 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Able to hire and supervise staff 

Strong interpersonal skills 

● General foresight 

● Open to the idea of alien life forms

Ability to work with all levels of management 

Proficient in Google Drive, Docs, Excel, etc. 

Minimum Education and experience: 

● Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

● Proficient in MS Office and Google Drive 

Reports to: 

● General Manager 

Supervisory Responsibility: 

● Part time staff
