Job Title: Associate Designer
Position Summary
Seeking a highly creative and motivated Associate Designer to support the design and development of seasonal collections. This role will work exclusively on the brand, partnering closely with the Head Designer to execute the brand vision while contributing innovative ideas and maintaining a strong understanding of contemporary fashion trends.
The ideal candidate has a contemporary apparel background, a strong aesthetic sense, and a passion for creating product that aligns with the brand's identity and customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Designer in the design and development of seasonal collections for the brand.
- Research and identify emerging fashion trends, colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and market opportunities relevant to the contemporary market.
- Create sketches, technical flats, color-ups, and presentation materials.
- Assist in developing seasonal concepts and ensuring design consistency across categories.
- Partner with Product Development and Merchandising teams throughout the design and production process.
- Review samples and prototypes, providing comments to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
- Maintain organized design files, line sheets, and seasonal development materials.
- Participate in fittings and support design revisions as needed.
- Monitor competitive brands and market trends within the contemporary fashion space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 2–5 years of apparel design experience, preferably within the contemporary market.
- Strong understanding of contemporary fashion trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent sketching, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to execute design direction effectively.
