JOB DESCRIPTION
Contempo Media, publisher of SHARP Magazine (SHARPMagazine.com), The Book for Men, and S Magazine (SMagazineOfficial.com), is seeking an experienced Associate Art Director to join our Creative team. This role requires strong design sensibility across print, digital, and social platforms, as well as hands-on production experience to support all three publications.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced editorial environment. They should be comfortable taking initiative, solving creative challenges independently, and collaborating closely with editorial, sales, and production teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the creation of sales and marketing decks, including designing mockups and creative concepts for both print and digital platforms.
- Support the design and production of pages across SHARP Magazine, S Magazine, and The Book for Men.
- Prepare files and assist throughout all stages of the production process.
- Assist in the planning and production of editorial and custom content photoshoots.
- Proof digital images and ensure all layouts are clean, accurate, and pre-flighted for pre-press.
- Collaborate with editorial, sales, and creative teams to maintain visual consistency across all brand platforms.
- Contribute to the creation of digital and social media content that aligns with each publication’s visual
- identity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of experience at a design studio, publication, or similar creative environment.
- Strong interest in fashion, magazines, and editorial design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A self-starter who can identify opportunities, solve creative problems, and work with minimal direction.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and PowerPoint.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong page design, typography, editorial packaging, and production skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
