Job Summary

Gushcloud is a Talent and Media Management company, and we are seeking a high-energy, digitally native Assistant Producer to join our growing content team. This role is designed for a rising star who wants to launch and elevate video assets alongside Gushcloud’s tier-one talents. The Assistant Producer will be the primary executor for long-form and short-form content series, with an expanded focus on social media content strategy and production.

Beyond standard on-set coordination, you will actively ideate what resonates on social channels, shoot high-engagement vertical content, and execute quick, simple video edits for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts to maximize digital footprint with speed and agility.

Core Functions/Key Accountabilities

  1. Production Execution & Support
  • On-Set Coordination: Act as the primary runner/coordinator during shoots, ensuring talent schedules are met, props are ready, and the external Producer’s vision is executed flawlessly.
  • Social-First Content Production: Independently shoot and capture high-quality, spontaneous social-first video content on-set or during talent activations using mobile setups.
  • Asset Management: Responsible for the structured organization of all raw footage, audio files, B-roll, and production logs.
  • Trend Research: Conduct deep-dive research into viral social media trends, popular formats, platform features, and keyword optimization to support the production phase.

B. Content Optimization & "The Cutdown" (Key Skill)

  • Social Media Strategy & Ideation: Actively pitch creative concepts and identify what content strategies will drive high engagement, watch time, and shareability across social platforms.
  • Short-Form Video Editing: Take lead responsibility for executing simple yet highly engaging video edits for "Social Media Cutdowns" – repurposing long-form YouTube content into high-impact vertical videos (TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts).
  • Engagement Hooks: Apply native knowledge of platform algorithms to create punchy captions, compelling thumbnails, and hook-driven edits that stop the scroll and drive traffic back to our main IPs.
  • Agile Video Cleanup: Handle assembly edits, text overlays, trending audio syncing, and basic color/audio optimization tailored explicitly for social media formats.

C. Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Talent Liaison: Work closely with the Talent Management team to ensure creators are well-briefed, comfortable, and actively aligned with the social media content strategy.
  • Audience Feedback Loop: Monitor community responses, audience comments, and engagement metrics on native social channels to iterate, refine, and provide the Production and Talent teams with strategic insights for future episodes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Media, Film, Mass Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, short-form production, or video editing. (Prior agency or creator-focused internship experience is highly valued).
  • Technical Proficiency: Competence in Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut (Desktop), alongside a strong mastery of mobile video editing tools for rapid turnaround.
  • Platform Literacy: Thorough familiarity with YouTube Studio, TikTok Creator Tools, Instagram Analytics, and emerging short-form platform algorithms.
