Assistant Manager, Social Media

Full-Time | Bangsar South, KL 

Do you excel in the fast-paced world of digital media and have a passion for building lifestyle brands through social platforms? NOVE (M) Sdn Bhd is looking for a dynamic Senior Social Media Executive / Assistant Manager to lead our digital presence and bring our brand stories to life.

As the exclusive distributor of leading lifestyle-tech brands such as Shokz, Aecooly and Jsaux, you will play a key role in shaping how consumers engage with our diverse portfolio. 

In this role, you will drive awareness, engagement, and conversion through compelling, trend-driven content while building strong brand communities across multiple categories—from audio and fitness to lifestyle gadgets.to lead our digital presence and bring our brand stories to life.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Strategy & Content Development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
  • Plan and manage content calendars aligned with product launches, campaigns, and retail activations
  • Create high-quality, engaging content including captions, visuals, and short-form videos
  • Translate product features into relatable, consumer-first storytelling
  • Ensure content aligns with brand identity, tone, and global guidelines

2.Digital Engagement & Performance

  • Manage day-to-day publishing and community engagement across all platforms
  • Monitor comments, messages, and trends to build an active and loyal community
  • Track and analyse performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversion)
  • Optimise content strategies based on insights, platform algorithms, and trends

3.Community Engagement & Activation

  • Develop and execute community-building strategies to grow and nurture brand advocates
  • Engage actively with followers, customers, and fans to foster meaningful relationships
  • Plan and manage community-driven initiatives such as challenges, giveaways, and user-generated content campaigns
  • Support and amplify offline community activations (e.g. fitness events, brand experiences, partner collaborations) through social storytelling
  • Work closely with KOLs, brand ambassadors, and partners to strengthen community presence
  • Gather community feedback and insights to inform marketing strategies and product positioning

4.Campaign & KOL Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing team on campaign rollouts, product launches, and events
  • Collaborate with KOLs, influencers, and brand partners to amplify reach and credibility
  • Coordinate content creation for media, KOL seeding, and community activations
  • Support event coverage with real-time and post-event content

 

5.Content Production & Asset Management

  • Liaise with internal teams, designers, agencies, and creators to produce social-first content
  • Capture and curate content during events, shoots, and activations
  • Maintain a well-organised digital asset library for ongoing use

6.Brand Consistency & Market Awareness

  • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity across all touchpoints
  • Stay updated on social media trends, competitor activities, and industry insights
  • Proactively recommend new content formats, ideas, and platform opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or community management
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices (especially Instagram & TikTok)
  • Proven experience in building and managing online/offline communities is a strong advantage
  • Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • Experience with analytics and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Experience in lifestyle, tech, sports, or retail brands is an added advantage
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
