On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director Production – Attractions to join the resort’s AV and Entertainment Technical Services team.
Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Develop comprehensive event strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Meets with Special Events Departments and Clients and establishes event audio visual setup
- Overseas, directs and executes the strategic planning, logistics, production sequencing of events including the setup of sound, systems projection, and lighting equipment, staging, seating, and audiovisual requirements.
- Oversee the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Special Events department within budget
- Schedules and coordination manpower and equipment resources for event set-up and operation.
- Ensures setup, operational crews of both in house teams and contractors/Rodio crews follow appropriate best safety compliance and risk mitigation vendors and clients to determine/negotiate contractual agreements, design, fabrication, installation/dismantling, daily operations, staffing, and reporting of revenues for all events.
- Overseas and manages outsourced event organizers and third-party vendors
- Develop, lead, and mentor events and AV technical crew while promoting company-wide standards and efficiencies
- Evaluate AV requirements and manage the inventory of operating supplies and equipment needs and as required raise purchase requestions for operational supplies
- Develop, implement and monitor procedures, process and quality control mechanisms for the AV Events Department pertaining to event setup and strike, equipment inventory and storage and handling.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in AV technical services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues is highly desirable.
- Industry certifications in AV control systems, rigging safety, or projection technology preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in multicultural environments
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and composed under pressure.
- Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or related field would be a plus
