Position: Assistant Conservator for Art on Paper

As an Assistant Conservator within our Conservation team, you will be responsible for prolonging the life of works on paper through meticulous conservation treatment and preventive care. Your expertise will be essential in conducting technical examinations and documenting findings. You will also interact with curators and artists to develop tailored conservation strategies, ensuring the integrity of crucial artworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess condition and diagnose conservation challenges
• Perform technical examinations of works on paper
• Develop and advise on conservation treatment plans
• Monitor environmental conditions for artworks
• Conduct conservation clinics and consultations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in conservation or equivalent experience
• Proven knowledge of conservation principles and practices
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for delicate operations
• Ability to operate specialized conservation equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
