About the Role
PK Education are working with a well-established secondary school in Sheffield who are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team. This role will cover Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT to inspire students and develop their artistic skills.
You will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and practical skill development. Students will be supported to explore a wide range of media, techniques, and art forms, preparing them for success in GCSE Art and fostering a lifelong appreciation of the subject.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Supporting students’ artistic development and fostering creativity in all learners.
- Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the Art department.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Art.
- Ability to inspire and engage students across KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Reflective practitioner committed to professional development.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
