Responsibilities
Foothills is seeking an Art Instructor. This position is responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching students with varying abilities how to use tools and raw materials properly and encouraging students to show creativity and individuality with their artworks. The Art Instructor must be dependable and have experience teaching ceramic pottery.
Qualifications Art Instructor I
- Three years teaching experience in a specialized art form.
- Working artist and/or art educator.
- At least three of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, or directly related field.
- Five years of ongoing experience in a specialized art form.
- Completed an apprenticeship.
- Extensive knowledge of specialized workshops/trainings and equipment required for successful operations of the class/program.
Art Instructor II
- Five years teaching experience in a specialized art form.
- Working artist and/or art educator.
- At least three of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, or directly related field.
- Eight years of ongoing experience in a specialized art form.
- Completed an apprenticeship.
- Extensive knowledge of specialized workshops/trainings and equipment required for successful operations of the class/program.
