Job Description and Key ResponsibilitiesCreative responsibilities (approx. 80%)

  • Develop creative concepts, visual directions, and design systems for digital signage solutions.
  • Lead concept development from pitch to delivery, including hands-on design production.
  • Create high-quality visual assets across digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Collaborate daily with strategists, developers, product owners, and other creatives.
  • Facilitate creative sessions and workshops with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Advise clients on design decisions and clearly communicate the thinking behind visual solutions.
  • Ensure consistency, craftsmanship, and strong brand alignment across all creative outputs.

Team Lead responsibilities (approx. 20%)

In addition to your creative role, you will act as a team lead for the creative team in Hamburg, ensuring the right support and conditions for high-quality delivery.

  • Support and coach team members in their development, performance, and well-being.
  • Ensure designers have the prerequisites, clarity, and tools needed to succeed in demanding projects.
  • Act as a point of support for designers who need guidance or creative problem-solving.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including interviews and onboarding.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of team skills, ways of working, and creative collaboration.
  • Share responsibility for team resourcing and workload planning together with the Global Head of Design Studio.

Your ProfileWe believe you are a curious, driven, and collaborative Art Director with strong visual craft and a passion for delivering creative excellence. You thrive in cross-functional environments, enjoy working closely with both clients and internal teams, and feel confident balancing hands-on design with supporting others.

We think you bring

  • Relevant education in design, visual communication, or a similar creative field.
  • Several years of experience as an Art Director or Senior Designer within brand or digital environments.
  • Strong ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible visual concepts and executions.
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma – including motion design
  • Experience working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including technology and product.
  • Confidence in presenting work, leading workshops, and communicating with clients.
  • An interest in mentorship, team development, and building strong creative collaboration.
  • Ability to work in both German and English.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Hamburg office, with a minimum of three days per week onsite at our office in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld – close to S Bahn Bahrenfeld
