Role Description The Art Director is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for leading visual concepts from initial idea through final delivery across branding, marketing, and content projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing creative direction, overseeing graphic design and layout, guiding designers and freelancers, and ensuring visual consistency across all client touchpoints. The Art Director will collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and production teams, present concepts to clients, and manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high design standards.
Qualifications
- Strong creative direction and art direction skills, with experience leading visual concepts and campaigns.
- Branding expertise, including developing visual identities, logos, and cohesive design systems.
- Proficiency in graphics and graphic design, including layout, typography, and digital/print production.
- Advanced skills in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proven experience in a creative studio, agency, or in-house brand environment, preferably in a senior design or art director role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, brand storytelling, and execution across multiple channels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
